QuadToneProfiler-Pro for Digital Negatives

I’m super excited to announce that, after nearly two years, my QuadToneProfiler-Pro for Digital Negatives is now available as a native macOS app.

There are so many new features, and I’m excited to share all the work I’ve been doing on the latest version. Keep reading for more info and for how to join in for a free live demo to learn about all the new features.

What makes this new version so great?

Here’s a quick example:

The Marble Canyon picture above is a scan of a 9x13-inch albumen print from a PiezoPro dual-quad negative made with the new software. I mixed fresh silver nitrate and sensitized three 11x15-inch sheets of albumen paper in the morning, and I made the print above on the 3rd sheet of paper that same afternoon. I used two halves of the first sheet for the partitioning and linearization. I made two test prints of different negatives on the second sheet to play with other toners and then made this print on the third.

Please join in on Friday, October 30th at Noon, Eastern US Standard Time, or Sunday, November 1st, at 4 PM Eastern Daylight Savings Time for a one hour YouTube Live demo of the new custom curve creation and linearization features. In that one hour, I will demonstrate how I quickly calibrated for fresh albumen and silver nitrate to make the print above, but for now, here’s an example of how easy and fast it is to calibrate with the new software.
